SMALL CLAIMS COURT
Having sustained a damage or loss can be frustrating to anyone and these issues are not usually expected.
Most issues will be attempted to be mitigated without invoking legal action however, sometimes this course of action is required.
Claims amounting of $35,000 or less can be litigated through the "Small Claims Court" which is an extension or a branch of The Superior Court of Justice.
As of January 1st, 2020 Small Claims Court has a higher jurisdiction available to litigants.

Judgments can now be awarded up to $35,000 exclusive of disbursements and costs as opposed to the previous $25,000 jurisdiction.
